Differential pricing strategy based on changeable perceived value of new product

摘要: 随着资源匮乏和环境污染的加剧,越来越多的企业和消费者开始关注废旧产品的回收再制造。针对“新品制造商+独立再制商”双寡头垄断市场竞争结构下新产品和再制品的差别定价问题,基于“独立再制商的进入会使消费者对新品价值的估值有所提高”这一假设,提出一个两周期博弈模型以及各寡头企业的产品最优定价规则。通过数值实验验证了研究结论的正确性,结果表明,独立再制商的再制造成本优势、消费者对再制品的价值评估、再制品进入所带来的新品价值评估的增长均能影响两寡头各自的产品定价及其利润。

Abstract: Aiming at the differential pricing of new product and remanufacturing product in new product manufacturer and independent remanufacturer duopoly market competition structure,a two-period game model and the optimal pricing rules for each manufacturer were proposed based on the assumption that customer's willingness to pay for new products would be increased with the access of independent remanufacturer.The numerical experiment showed that the improvement of new product's value assessment caused by the remanufacturing cost advantage of independent remanufacturer,the value assessment of customer on remanufacturing product and the access of remanufacturing product could affect respective product pricing and profit of new product manufacturer and independent remanufacturer,and the correctness of the proposed method was also proved.
