Abstract: An extended Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) was constructed which considered a two-level supply chain containing a manufacturer and a retailer and allowed the deterministic demand and shortage. In this model, two new factors, i.e., products expiry date and products retail price with relation to products storage time, were taken into account. Moreover, the retailers ordering policy was studied under the influence of the above new factors when the purchasing price was quantity discount or not. The theoretical analysis and data simulation show that if the retailer cooperates with the manufacturer fully, it will increase manufacturers profit and the two-level supply chains profit, and decrease the retailers profit.
