Abstract: With more and more producer services participation in manufacturing activities, producer services not only become the indispensable elements of the manufacturing value chains, but also influence reconfigurations of the traditional manufacturing value chains, and promote changes from manufacturing value chains to serviceoriented value chains. Constituents of the traditional and the current value chains were analyzed. Changes of nodes, structure, constituents, and ways of valueadding were analyzed in particular. Relationship between producer services and the manufacturing industry, and the effects of producer services on manufacturing value chains were further discussed which provided basis for further manufacturing value chain optimization.
