面向三维打印的几何模型内部空间优化算法

摘要: 为保证三维打印产品质量并降低材料消耗,提出一种三维打印模型内部空间优化算法。该算法在封闭的三角网格模型内部生成偏置网格,并在确定的约束条件下将偏置网格简化为三角面片大小较为均等的简化网格;以简化网格模型的内部为限定空间,构建相应的密度场和能量函数,进而利用基于质心Voronoi结构的优化方法生成类三角锥网架结构;合并原始网格、简化前的偏置网格以及网架结构生成适用于三维打印的合成模型。实验结果表明,由所提算法生成的合成模型的内部空间在体积、质量和易打印性方面有比较优势。

Abstract: To ensure the quality of 3D printing products and reduce their consumption of materials,a novel method for the interior space optimization of 3D printing model was proposed.An offset mesh inside a given closed triangular mesh model was generated and simplified to a coarser mesh with size-similar triangles under a pre-defined constraint condition.Then a kind of supported structure,which shape was similar to a triangular pyramidal grid with characters of centroidal Voronoi tessellations was generated in the interior of coarse model.The given original mesh,the constructed offset mesh and the supported structure were combined together to form the expected 3D printing model.Experiments showed that the proposed method could deal with various watertight 3D printing models with different geometry and topology.The optimized geometry models were easy to be printed,and had smaller volume compared to the original models and stronger than shell models with the same volume.
