Abstract: The application of two kinds of buffers in various project networks was compared and analyzed.Amount of project examples were generated with different network characteristics,and critical chain centralized-buffered plans and STC scattered-buffered plans were made respectively for those projects.A simulation experiment was set up to simulate the execution of those project plans in different environments.Robust performance indicators of two kinds of buffered plans were compared by analyzing experiment results,so that the applicability features of the two buffers were summarized.The investigation showed that: scatted buffer method was suitable in solution robustness-oriented project|buffer method should be chosen according to the specific circumstances such as project scale,network complexity and uncertainty in quality-robustness-oriented project.
