Abstract: The inventory coordination under asymmetric information in a lotforlot supply chain with one supplier and one retailer was studied, and a method for inventory coordination based on information entropy was proposed. Firstly, the compensatory scheme under asymmetric information of the retailer's storage cost was developed, and an optimization model for inventory coordination from the point of view of the supplier was presented. There was a parameter in the model, which was related to the information owned by the supplier. To select appropriate model parameter, the maximum entropy formulism was applied to discover the distribution of the storage cost. Finally, an application example was presented to illustrate the model, and the result showed that both the supplier and the retailer had an increase in profit after coordination.
