Abstract: To handle the underlying complexities and uncertainty characteristics in the design process， a new task specification model based on the Task Influence Factor(TIF) was proposed， which provided a new and more practical way for the design process planning in concurrent engineering environment. The review-points location technique was also put forward. Combined with those two methods， the model can be used in design process planning and is helpful to avoid big design repeats. The research provided a path to optimize the design project planning.
