Abstract: For the problem that some useful modes were hidden in the massive event logs recorded by process-aware information systems,the process mining could analyze these data from the perspectives of control flow,organization,resource and so on.Thus the existing problems in the process were found,which guided business managers to streamline business processes continually.The application of process mining to process optimization was thoroughly overviewed and some representative methodologies were analyzed.A range of applications in optimizing process structure,organizational efficiency,resource allocation and detecting anomalies were reviewed in detail,and the further research issues were suggested.
