Association analysis between modules and decoupling strategies in modular product design

Abstract: In the process of modular product design,there often exists association relationship between modules,which make the design more complex and increase the lead-time and cost of product development.For the coupling association problems in design process of modular product design,Design Structure Metrix(DSM)was utilized for correlation analysis of the components within a given product,the interfaces between modules were identified,as well as the instigating component and affected component between any two association modules were determined.The association propagation path was built to identify the propagation of instigating component to the module in which affected component was located.The association dependence degree of the module was calculated,and the priority order of the module could be acquired.Then,the influence of instigating components on design objectives was analyzed so as to adjust corresponding components,and decoupling strategies for coupling modules were proposed,which included reducing the association dependence degree between modules,controlling the deviation of instigating component,weakening the position of affected component,matching reasonably association components,decreasing the influence of change propagation of affected component,as well as enhancing the adaptability of the modules.Finally,a case study on modular design of the grab was provided to illustrate the proposed method for coupling analysis and decoupling.

摘要: 在模块化产品设计过程中,模块之间往往存在着关联关系,使得设计更复杂,进而增加产品开发周期和成本。针对模块化产品设计中模块间的耦合关联问题,基于设计结构矩阵(DSM)表示产品零件之间的关联关系,分析模块间的相互作用,确定关联模块的主控零件和依赖零件;分析主控零件的关联传播路径,计算模块关联依赖度,确定模块的优先级顺序。然后根据产品结构及其零部件的复杂性,分析主控关联零件的影响,从模块间的关联依赖度、关联零件变更传播的影响及提高模块的适应性等几个方面,提出关联模块的解耦策略。通过起重机抓斗实例阐述了产品模块化设计关联分析过程与解耦方法。
