Abstract: To deal with problems of evaluation, construction, selection and usage for the Federal Enterprise Architecture Framework (FEAF), steps and approaches of systemic studies were discussed. Firstly, FEAF and its methodology, usage guide and reference model were introduced. Then, the ISO standard of Generalized Enterprise Reference Architecture and Methodology (GERAM) was adopted to study FEAF and mappings between them. The analysis was conducted from several aspects which included: lifecycle, modeling frameworks, modeling languages, methodologies, reference models, generic modeling concepts, enterprise modeling tools, and enterprise modules. Finally, advantages and disadvantages of FEAF were summarized.
