Abstract: Based on ServiceOriented Architecture (SOA) and manufacturing grid technology, the architecture of serviceoriented manufacturing grid system was put forward. Operation mechanism of this system was analyzed and the practical business operation process was defined. Then the implementations of manufacturing resources′ encapsulation, manufacturing resources′ configuration, and business process design as the three primary parts were studied. This system made full use of not only the advantages of the resources′ increase ability of manufacturing grid, but also the advantages of the services′ flexibility and reusability of SOA. The system changed service of serviceoriented manufacturing grid′s resource node into a kind of network component which was autonomous, open and independent to the manufacturing resource′s attributes. It satisfied the manufacturers′ requirements for flexibility and collaboration changing with the demands. And it also promoted the distributed system′s application in manufacturing systems.
