Abstract: A hierarchical model for typical manufacturing grid was proposed. A list of view models including resource, function and information view was adopted to depict the resource constitution, function and information structure of manufacturing grid. The aforementioned three views were connected as a whole by a process view. By a typical manufacturing grid system workflow, the relationship model of manufacturing grid architecture was deducted, which presented the essential and whole relationship view. Finally, a software prototype for resources management and task management of manufacturing grid was developed. Application in the enterprises indicated that the proposed system could realize quick sharing of manufacturing resources.
