Abstract: To deal with requirements in product-development and limitations of project management in current Product Data Management (PDM) system, a solution to project management oriented to product-development process was proposed. A project management model oriented to product-development process in PDM was set up. By constructing the task multi-view based on the structure tree of project task, global supervision and task tracking in all stages of the product-development process were realized. This solution strengthened the practicability of the project management in PDM and accelerated development for new products. It has been successfully applied in enterprises.
